I got this for my son
My son is under 30, with significant health/mobility issues. I got this for him, and he has been using it consistently with great feedback. It was very easy to put together; only a few moving parts that snapped into place or had big hand screws that didn't require any tools at all. It showed up within three days of order. Fabulous!
We bought this for my father as a surprise, not knowing how he would respond or like it. He has osteo-arthritis it is very hard for him to get around but this Drive Medical D-Lite Rollator was a hit! He absolutely loves it. It navigates on a 'dime' with a 'nickle' left over. There is no place in his ranch home that limits him now. The large wheeles are fantastic, the brakes are ergonomically placed and designed and so easy for his weakening hands. We call it his 'Cadillac' because now he can get around so much easier. He even uses it at the dining room table as his chair. The height, the contour back-rest make it preferred seating for him. We also like the wire basket in the front rather than having one under the seat.The only thing I'd like better is if he had 2 - one for outside and one for inside. This walker has changed my life!
I bought this walker because I have MS - I've used a cane for the past couple of years and only vanity kept me from buying a walker sooner. I'm so glad I finally got over myself and made the purchase! This walker has 8" wheels which is perfect for me as it's suitable for most kinds of outdoor terrain, yet is narrow enough that I can take it into stores & restaurants. I don't use it in the house as I don't need it, but bought it specifically so that I could get more exercise and enjoy the outdoors.It has a curved back rest which is so much more comfortable than a straight one, and you can rest in comfort. The main reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five, is because the seat isn't padded. It's comfortable enough to rest on, but bothers my sciatica if I sit too long - a padded seat would have definitely earned this walker five stars! Walker
I really like this walker. I had a walker that you had to lift up and sit down with every step and that was a lot of work for me. I saw someone at the gym with one of these and I said to myself I have to have one. I have arthritis in my hip and the "Walkabout" is better than I expected. This walker can turn on a dime, folds for easy storage, has a pouch to place items (unlike a basket where things can fall out) and it is very easy when there is a need to walk backwards. I am very please with this walker and glad I bought it.

Excellent Rollator - a Rolls Royce
Purchased for my Dad and he could not be more pleased. It replaced a Nova purchased at Walgeens whose brakes failed and caused a fall. This is one sturdy rollator. Assembly was easy. He loves the 8" wheels which ride smoothly and turn very well. The adjustable handlebars can be made higher than most which "straightens" him up more and allows a more natural gait. The seat is markedly more comfortable. He loves the foldup feature of pulling a canvas loop; it couldn't be easier. The canvas bag is a vast improvement over the wire basket because it does not have to be removed when folding the rollator for the car. It will also keep items dry. It fits at an angle in his Avalon trunk because of the higher handlebars but this is no problem for him. This rollator is excellent, well thought out and well made. I highly recommend.

I came back and bought another!
My husband and I have our 92-year old moms living here. I had first bought this walker for my mom last year, but she rarely used it -- until AFTER she had a fall. My husband's mother has just come to live with us as well and had left her walker behind when she moved. I bought another walker online, but when it came it was big, heavy and cumbersome. So we dontated it and I searched until I found the same walker to purchase again. Both moms agree -- it is easy to maneuver and not too big to get into the bathroom with. And I like that it isn't teal or burgundy or hot pink -- the tan and plaid look really nice!

Rolls Royce of walkers
Bought this for a 90-y-o mom, who needed an more stable alternative to a cane. She indicates that her neighbors in the retirement community call this walker her "Rolls Royce" as it has such nice features. I was impressed by the quality of the walker, the finish, and the attention paid to detail on both design and fabrication fronts. The only amendments we made to it were to add a bicycle light (as she uses it to walk to the dining room for dinner, often after dark) and some ID ornamentation to differentiate it from the literal parking lot of other walkers - none as nice as hers, I'm told. I'd buy this one again in a heartbeat - great walker, even more incredible at the price.

A great walker
This walker replaced a standard "tennis ball" walker for my mother-in-law. She loves it. So easy to use and maneuver, and she has weak wrists. The thumb supports are very nice. So easy to turn corners instead of the old "lift and place." The basket is nice for storage and it lifts out. Walker folds to put in car. A great purchase.

Not bad for the money, but...
If you are comparing this only to the hospital-issue plain aluminum tubing walker with small wheels on the front and no seat, it will look as though it's worth five stars. However, if you do your homework and see what else is available, you will have the opportunity to make a more informed choice. As a licensed social worker, I encourage clients to take a look at what's on the market, checking out at least three different models.The back rail on this walker is straight, rather than curved, which would make using the seat as a substitute chair a lot more comfortable. Its wheel asssembly is relatlively wimpy, perhaps explaining why the stated weight limit is 250 lbs. In comparison, the Drive Medical 750BK D-Lite Rollator, Midnight Blue, has a curved back, better wheel assembley, and supports up to 300 lbs--and it's a bit less expensive.
